Published records

Every input a public file. Nothing sold to anybody named in one.

These are not case studies and they are not marketing. Each one is a measurement Certisyn published on its own account, built from files anyone can download, with the digest of every file published beside the finding. A record names what it could not determine as plainly as what it found, and no page is served unless the data behind it reconciled. A stale page is better than a page asserting a reading that did not verify.

The register is the estate and it rebuilds on its own schedule. The records described on this page are a selection of it.

Why anybody should believe them

The five rules that decide what gets published.

No party named in a record can buy

Certisyn does not sell a determination, a licence or a subscription to any party named in a published record, and discloses any approach from one. The rule is published on the records themselves and in the machine-readable catalogue, where it can be checked rather than taken on trust.

Reproducible without us

Every input is a public file that needs no account and no key. The digest of each one is taken at the moment it is served and published beside the finding, so anyone can obtain the same files and reach the same result. The chain from the code to the figure is published as a manifest: the digest of every script, every data file and every page as served, at the derivation manifest.

The refusals are published too

Each record states what it does not look at and what it declines to conclude. A negative from an instrument whose coverage has not been characterised is not a negative, and saying so is part of the record.

A deploy that does not verify does not ship

Every publication is gated end to end against the live surface. If a single check fails, the previous page keeps serving.

Nothing is overwritten

A record moves, because the same question asked of the same sources later can answer differently. Every earlier edition stays at its own address and the difference between one edition and the next is computed rather than described, so a reading quoted at the time stays checkable. The register is at the editions page.

The register

Five series, one register, always current.

The register at records.certisyn.com lists every record with its date, its method and its findings, newest first. This page carries no list of records, so what you read in the register is what is published.

Commitments

What a body promised, reconciled line by line against the documents it has published since.

Claims

What a party asserted about itself or an event, reconciled against the primary documents and the reporting around them, with the open lines named.

Independence

How much a second sighting is worth, measured rather than assumed.

Measurement

Public files fetched and measured, with the digest of every input published beside the result.

Fact checks

A stated figure or statement read against the primary source it cites.
